About this course
UI/UX designers decide how products look and feel and whether people can use them, and every app, website and SaaS team needs one. The role does not need a design degree: it needs the process, the craft and a portfolio, and this course gives you all three, in Figma, the tool the industry uses.
The course starts with design thinking and user research (interviews, surveys, personas, journeys, problem statements), information architecture and user flows, wireframes and low-fidelity prototypes. You then learn Figma from zero and the visual craft: typography, colour, spacing and layout, grids, icons and imagery, components, variants and auto layout, design systems and tokens, accessibility and responsive design for web and mobile.
You then prototype and test (interactive prototypes, usability tests, iteration), hand off to developers (specs, Dev Mode, working with engineers), use AI tools in the design workflow, and build a portfolio of three case studies (a mobile app, a web dashboard and a redesign) with interview preparation. Every topic is done live in Figma, and every session is recorded.
