About this course

Materials Management (MM) is the SAP S/4HANA module that buys, stores and pays for everything a company uses: raw materials, spare parts, trading goods and services. It runs the procure-to-pay cycle from the purchase requisition to the supplier invoice, and every manufacturing, trading, pharma and automotive company on SAP needs MM consultants and key users who understand both the business process and its configuration.

The course starts with S/4HANA itself (the move from ECC, SAP GUI and Fiori, the SAP Activate methodology) and the procurement enterprise structure: plants, storage locations, purchasing organizations and groups. You then build the master data (material master, Business Partner suppliers, info records, source lists and quota arrangements) and run the full process: purchase requisitions, RFQs and quotations, purchase orders, contracts and scheduling agreements, release procedures and output, pricing with the condition technique, goods receipts and issues, transfer postings, physical inventory, valuation and automatic account determination, and logistics invoice verification with the three-way match.

You then cover the special procurement processes (subcontracting, consignment, third-party, stock transport orders, pipeline and services), consumption-based planning with MRP Live, and the Fiori analytical apps a buyer works with. The course ends with the MM-FI, MM-SD and MM-PP integration points, data migration with the Migration Cockpit, a full case study and preparation for the SAP Certified Associate exam in S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement. Every topic is shown live in an SAP S/4HANA system, and every session is recorded.
