About this course

SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is SAP's cloud supply chain planning suite: demand planning with statistical forecasting, sales and operations planning, inventory optimisation, response and supply planning and the supply chain Control Tower, planned in Excel and Fiori on SAP HANA. It replaces APO, and companies moving to S/4HANA need IBP consultants who can build the planning model and run the planning processes.

The course starts with the IBP applications, the architecture, the Excel add-in and the sample planning areas, then builds the planning model: attributes, master data types, time profiles, planning areas, planning levels, key figures and their calculations, versions and scenarios. You then integrate data from files, from SAP Cloud Integration for data services and from S/4HANA through Real-Time Integration, and plan in the Excel add-in and the Fiori planner workspaces with planning views, filters, simulations and disaggregation.

You then run demand planning with the statistical forecasting models, pre- and post-processing and forecast error measures, supply planning with the heuristic and the optimizer, the S&OP process with process management and analytics, multi-echelon inventory optimisation, order-based response and supply planning, and the Control Tower with custom alerts, case management and dashboards. The course ends with a planning area case study and preparation for the SAP Certified Associate exam in SAP IBP for Supply Chain. Every topic is shown live in an IBP system, and every session is recorded.

  • Use the Control Tower: custom alerts, case management, dashboards and KPIs, and prepare for the SAP Certified Associate exam (C_IBP)

Requirements

  • A basic idea of supply chain or production planning; Excel skills help; SAP PP, PP/DS or APO knowledge is useful but not required
  • Best suited to demand and supply planners, supply chain analysts, SAP PP, PP/DS and APO consultants and engineering or MBA graduates
  • A laptop with a stable internet connection
